Case 37: Immediate dental implant in 1.1

 Presenting a case where there was external resorption noted in in an endodontically treated 1.1. Retreatment was carried out in 2.1 and endodontic management of 2.2 was carried out before the implant consult and further prosthetic management.

It was decided to go in for extraction of 1.1 followed by immediate implant placement and guided bone regeneration for the defect site. Crown preparation for 2.1 and 22 was carried out prior to the implant procedure and provisionalisation with a cantilever for the site of 1.1 was done with Luxatemp provisionals.

After a span of 6 months the case is to be reviewed for prosthetic management of 1.1.










This case was done by me at Parasu Dental Hospital, Chennai.
